Prestige by Marci Bolden: Review

cover for Prestige by Marci Bolden

The first book I read by Bolden was one that has never left my mind. Life Without Water is still an extremely popular book, so when I had the ability to review this story by her, I definitely jumped on it.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Bolden. I love that this is a romantic suspense by her. It is completely different from the first book I read of hers. But this one is also extremely well done and I am thrilled to share my review with you below.

While Troy’s team is distracted with the crime scene, Troy sneaks into Logan’s room and whisks the boy away, intending to hide him until he knows he’s safe.

Meri Osborne left Lochlin after losing a member of her team and started fresh at Prestige Security and Investigation Services. She’s made a new life for herself but misses the excitement of protecting the rich and famous clients that hired Lochlin. Together, they will do anything to keep the little boy safe. Including breaking the law and possibly each other’s hearts.

Prestige by Marci Bolden Review

Since I’ve never read a romantic suspense by Bolden before I was a little intrigued.  Told from a PI point of view, this book has a really unique plot and I was immediately engaged from the first pages.

Bolden was able to create a plot that had a little bit of past and present built into it. We’re getting different points of view while telling the story.

The author does a really good job of keeping us guessing in terms of what’s going on, who’s telling the truth, who’s really the bad guy or gal. She definitely knows how to keep us on our toes as we’re reading and becoming entrenched in the who has done it.

The characters are eclectic and work really well together. The two main characters are tough and strong but definitely have tenderness for each other. And, in case you were wondering, this is a clean Romance with a suspense twist.

Speaking of twists, the tables keep turning, changing, and spinning at the end. You’re not sure who is the true bad guy. I love that she was able to carry that off without me guessing what was going to happen.

Overall, I was thrilled that I was engaged throughout the book. Prestige was fast-paced and I completely connected with each of the characters. Bolden brings us a fabulous story and a great plot loaded with twists galore.
