I love when I find an author that offers engrossing and twisted stories that suck you right in. This is the third book that I have read and reviewed by M.J. Arlidge. The second in the Helen Grace series, it is a stand out story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You can see the first two reviews on the M.J. Pop Goes the Weasel is the second in the series and while I read them out of order, trust me in that you should read them as they are written. It is easier to follow and you will not want to miss a word of these books!
A fast follow up to the first book, Eeny Meeny, the author once again stuns us with an engrossing read with intricate and gruesome details in such a way that the reader just cannot stop reading. With detailed character development and twists and turns that keeps you guessing until the end, this book offers more background into Helen Grace and the others on her team as they work quickly to solve the murder mystery.
While the ending leaves a lot to be desired for those that love a story that is tied up with a bow, this book is one not to be missed. Dark and deep, it is a murder mystery like no other. M.J. Arlidge is a captivating author with plenty more to say, I am sure!
