Holidays in Virgin River by Robyn Carr: Review

Holidays in Virgin River by Robyn Carr cover

I have to say that I do not know any of my personal girlfriends that have not binge-watched this series on television. It is a delightful series with just enough drama, angst, and don’t forget the sweet romance. You become attached to the townspeople quickly and even wish you lived in a similar town.

The holidays are a fabulous time to binge-read about Virgin River too and I am thrilled to share my review of this upcoming book with not one, but two different stories that will get us in the mood for love and Christmas! Check out my thoughts below.

OVERVIEW:
Under the Christmas Tree

With snow falling over the redwood forests, secluded Virgin River is the ideal place to spend the holidays. Each year, the close-knit community gathers in the town square to decorate and light a massive tree. Carols are sung, hot chocolate is shared—and this year, a surprise is about to bring two special people together. When the townsfolk discover a box of adorable puppies under the town’s Christmas tree, they call on local vet Nathaniel Jensen for help. But it’s his budding romance with Annie McCarty that really has tongues—and tails—wagging!

Midnight Confessions

In Virgin River, holiday kisses don’t end with Christmas—there’s still the New Year’s Eve party at Jack’s Bar to attend. Locals and newcomers alike find themselves eager for that special countdown…and that midnight kiss.

As the townspeople gather, two lonely revelers decide the best balm for their broken hearts might just be each other.

Holidays in Virgin River by Robyn Carr Review

Everyone I know has a crush on Jack but that is not who we will be reading about in this new anthology, although he does make appearances. The first story is just a delightful read that tugs your heartstrings. Of course, the puppies help too!

I just fell for Nate and his heart. His perfect match is found with Annie who is a delightful balance of tough and tender. Carr just has a way of developing her characters with deep feelings and souls that shine which is reflected in Under the Christmas Tree.

In Midnight Confessions Drew is a delightful spirit who knows right away the perfect woman when he meets Sunny. I love how fast he found his way. Tender hearts abound but when you know, you know.

Both of these novella length stories are written with Carr’s love for the town she created and the people who live there. A wonderful way to spend a cozy night wrapped up in the romance and everything Virgin River. A sweet addition to the series.
