I love checking out new authors to me. There are some that I have become completely addicted to. There are some authors that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by. There are some authors that I probably wouldn’t necessarily go search out their next title.

But every new author that I try has always brought something amazing to the table for our reading pleasure.

This particular author is new to me and we get a great taste of life in Australia on a horse farm With a marriage of convenience trope. Check out my thoughts below.

OVERVIEW:
When my husband died, I was saddled with a lifetime of debt.

Enter Curtis, a brooding, no-nonsense American vet with a soft spot for horses. His proposal: marry him so he can stay in Australia and buy the business of his dreams. In return, he’ll make my financial woes disappear.

It seems like a good business transaction to me. It’s only a year of my life.

As we navigate life on the farm—from stubborn mares to nosy neighbours—I find he’s not so surly after all. Beneath his gruff exterior lies a man who knows how to mend more than just animals. He can rescue hearts as well.

The problem? His constant reminders that we’ll be free of each other in twelve months show his heart is not on the same track as mine.

At the end of twelve months, my debts will be gone, but my heart may not survive losing the man I never thought I’d fall for.

Hitched for a Dream by Cynthia Terelst Review

This one sounded like it would be a great story, especially with the setting. I’ve never read a book set in Australia that comes to mind, and, of course, a marriage of convenience, who could pass that up?

The start was a little rocky for me because this is the second book in the series, and right off the bat, there are conversations with people that you don’t know yet.

But after a few chapters, I settled in, and it was a fun story. Pushing people together is obviously what this group of workers does at the horse farm. Plus, with a delicious-sounding, hot American veterinarian, how could it go wrong?

This author excelled with her storytelling, weaving a romance that was born to succeed. The setting descriptions were vivid and added so much to the story.

I love the connection between the two that we got to experience through their growth as we watched them learn to love and flourish.

The tender feelings grew as they started trusting and loving. Plus, the sweetheart swooning scenes didn’t hurt my feelings in the least.

Hitched for a Dream is a great one to check out, especially if you love a sexy, spicy, and engaging story. Wonderful supporting characters round it all out. It sounds like this is a series that will be ongoing for a few books.
