New Year’s celebrations are being planned as we speak. I was just thinking about New Year’s Eve celebration’s the other day.
When I was growing up and as a young teenager, my parents always attended or had some sort of New Year’s party. I would always pick up babysitting jobs because I make good money for New Year’s Eve. But no matter where I was or whether my parents and I were together or not, even if there was a big party they were attending, we always called each other at midnight.
I miss that time. As I became an adult I rarely attend at parties. I threw a few myself but for the most part it was just a group of friends and I that would hang out or I was alone on New Year’s Eve.
Now that I am married and old with children, I cannot even tell you the last time I went out to a party for New Year’s Eve. I think I missed that though.
Celebrating the new year can be fun. Maybe next year I’ll plan a holiday party. It’s been way too long.
No matter what you’re doing or how you’re celebrating, have a wonderful and safe New Year’s eve. And wishing you wonderful blessings for a fabulous 2019. Thanks for being here with me!
