I love looking for great deals. I have a few haunting spots that I shop every few months to stock up on the things that I need. With the holiday season on us, it was time to hit Big Lots for my frugal shopping trip and this week, I was excited at some of my finds.
I love to donate to the food pantry when I can and with Thanksgiving here and Christmas on the way, it was time to stock up on things to donate and fill my own pantry. This week, my big score was on some canned goods and soups that I love.
I love the bigger cans of Campbell soups. Not found in the regular store, these cans are 35-40% bigger and still cheaper than the regular markets! Since cold weather is here, soup is on my lunch menu often so I can never have enough. These are just .95 each!
The Niblets, which is my favorite canned corn was just .75! Last time I checked the store, and didn’t buy them, they were $1.85 a can! Ya… NO! Also on sale that week was their Swanson Chicken Broth, perfect for Thanksgiving dinners at just .75 a can! You know it is around $1.89 or so at the grocery store when not on promo. I got a lot! LOL
Another great find is the Vienna Sausages which my hubby loves. Just .50 a can. And the Canned ham that is great for sandwiches and is pretty pure ingredient wise was just $3!
Finally, we love the Bear Creek packaged soups and rices. I have a few favorites I can eat once in a while. These make a big pot and are perfect for soup and sandwich night. Just $3 a bag. Normally around $4 or more at the grocery store or Walmart, when I can find them.
If you haven’t checked out Big Lots in a while, you may want to. I always read ingredients and usually find some brands that we used to get years ago. You will find some old favorites there at great prices!
Good Luck on your shopping spree!
