Sometimes it is hard to see all of the hard work that you put in day after day on your lifestyle change, be it eating changes or fitness. If you go on places like Instagram and follow others in the fitness or weight-loss area, you will see that they take and post countless progress pictures. Most likely you probably think that they are self centered and are addicted to taking selfies.
The fact of the matter is that it is difficult to see the minute changes and progress that you go through on a weight-loss or fitness journey. Even for those that know you well, it can be hard to see. I have several progress pictures myself and it is still hard for me to discern the weightloss. However, I can feel it in my clothing and definitely in my energy!
Even today when I see people that I have known for along time or work with, most do not see any of the weightloss I have successfully managed to accomplish. However, I know the progress i have made and I want to share it with you in this face to face progress picture.
The picture on the left is from around Dec 2014 and was the catalyst to my diet and lifestyle changes. I hated getting that picture taken. I was disgusted and embarrassed at how far I had let myself go. I was an unhappy person.
The picture on the right is me today in August 2016. While the last year has been difficult in any pound loss, my fitness level has increased dramatically. My face shows my healthy changes with my low carb eating, juicing, and plenty of water routine.
While my progress has been slowed by menopause and learning how my body works to get rid of this fat, I am pleased that my weight has not changed much. This reflect a 55-60 pound loss. I have a long way to go, but pictures like this will keep me on track and moving forward!
