I love my front yard. It is an awesome blend of shrubs and flowers that are both low maintenance but yet offer beautiful blooms through most of the year.
The best part for me is the low maintenance because while I love to look at the beauty of my yard, I’m not huge into the maintenance aspect. You can see from my pictures my yard is full and this is just a part of it! These are from the Spring with all of the new growth!
But with a few cool new toys that make it super simple like my heavy-duty battery-operated hedge trimmer and a great pair of clippers, it doesn’t take very long to keep these shrubs and plants in shape.
While I don’t mind getting dirty, I do mind when the roses decide to stab me so a great pair of gloves is a must when I’m doing some yard maintenance. I’ve got to try out several different pairs from our sponsor today, Digz Gardening Gloves.
Digz Garden Gloves Perfect for Year Round Maintenance Projects
I love the versatility of all these different styles! I was sent several different styles to check out. For one, I usually use just plain jersey gloves but they are usually not adequate for my yard work. Then I looked on the site and found so many choices! I never realized how much the type of glove matters for your work.
The Nitrile ones are just right for when I spray my weed control and work with damp soils. My sprayer always tends to leak and this is a fabulous choice. Lightweight and easy to wear with breathable fabric that feels like you are wearing nothing. Perfect for rinsing off poisons and such.
The High Performance style is soft on the inside palm with a nice leather added there to help protect your hands. I love the breathable fabric on the top and the velcro closure to keep a tight fit. These are great for doing a lot of trimming and clean up so the thorns don’t get me!
The Goatshide gloves are so soft and buttery. An elastic band on the wrist area keeps these snug and helps prevent dirt and debris from getting in there. Nice for moving firewood and working with roses or other heavy work.
With the holidays here these are an awesome gift or a stocking stuffer for someone who loves to work in the yard. I would definitely grab a couple of different styles, wrap them up with a lovely Plant or gift card to a favorite nursery.
I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t love a gift of gloves like these for outdoor work. Definitely put a few on your must-have list for yourself too!
