I know it’s almost summer with some of the crazy heat index we’re getting. Much of the Midwest is getting hammered too. But I wanted to share with you the crazy things that my flowerbeds have been doing lately.
I have to say I absolutely love my front yard because it seems to bloom some colorful California spring flowers from April to September or later. There’s always some thing in bloom and it’s just so pretty.
A lot of my yard is shrubs and most of them flower at some point in the warmer months. So I wanted to share with you a few pictures before the summer heat completely annihilate some of these poor flowers.
Colorful California Spring Flowers
One of my favorites is the ornamental iris that is being very prolific right now. At least once a week shooting out these white blooms that are just incredible. They only last for a day and then the next week they were doing it again. Absolutely love these white flowers.
I also love my roses. I have multiple sizes so there’s always something blooming in the rose family.
Plus, I have shrubs and other bushes that bloom as well. Even my fruitless plum tree has these amazing buds in early spring that turn into the leaves. So gorgeous!
And this is only 1 side of the front yard! Next time, I’ll show off the other side. Also check out this amazing red dragon fly I captured a pic of last week! Awesome!
Anyway, I just wanted to share. I hope your garden and yard is doing wonderful things! Enjoy
