It’s a never ending battle at my age to get fit. I so wish I was smarter years ago. But it is what it is and every day brings a new challenge.
Whether it’s food issues or exercising, it’s an uphill battle to stay on track. One of the things that I have been doing this winter is walking more. I love working out in the pool but I can’t afford to heat it. My house is still torn up and stuff crammed into the garage so I can’t get to my weight set. If it’s not one thing it’s another. But that’s life.
So I’ve been using my phone as my step counter and I downloaded this great app called StepWise that is pretty simple. It literally counts your steps throughout the day. What I like is that it tracks your history so you can set your own goals and see how you have been doing.
So this weekend was very good for me. This is the first time that I hit over 10,000 steps. I started Sunday with a 1.5 mile walk and then we headed to San Francisco where I got in the rest of the steps. The weird thing is it does not update the 7 day history until the next day, so these numbers are a bit off.
I’m so very excited at my progress and this app helps! Now to keep the momentum going so that I keep on moving and get those steps in.
Every little bit helps.
