My Thoughts on Can I See You Again? by Allison Morgan
I enjoyed this book so much! It is a wacky story about a matchmaker and the fact that her boyfriend dumped her on the eve of a major promotion with her upcoming book. So she turns to a long time client for some help.
The author developed the characters in such a way that you feel you know them. With the delicious Nixon coming to Bree’s rescue, I for one, kept hoping that they would finally figure out that they were developing feelings for one another. Then Bree’s lies and world came tumbling down and Nixon was out the door.
With plenty of tension and anxiety about how they were going to settle the issues, the author kept the story interesting, with several twists and turns to keep us guessing. I was hoping for a wonderful, romantic finish, however, I felt it was a bit lacking.
Overall, this was a delightfully sweet read that is clean and perfect for your summer reading sessions.
