I have a few secrets to share with you today – secrets about me and my hair. I am in love with my hair. I know that sounds so self centered, but it is one of the features about myself I like. It is full and healthy; thick and wavy. One of my favorite parts about my hair is the color.
Here is another big, fat secret. I have been highlighting my hair myself for almost 25 years. It has looked awesome for the last 24 years, so much so, that most stylists I use do not believe me when I tell them I do it myself. But things have been changing of late and I have not been thrilled.
Lately, I have been getting a lot of grey and white hair on my temple area that is not blending in with my highlights and it is looking rather weird. Plus I have been getting some brassy areas on the top which I really need to fix.
Enter into my life a fabulous new product that is my hair’s salvation! BLONDME. If you are a natural blonde or an enhanced blonde, you have to read on!
My Thoughts:
I was sent two of the Blonde Brilliance shampoos to try. I was really nervous because I did not know what to expect. The label says they are a Temporary Color Shampoo so that kind of freaked me out a bit as I did not want to ruin my color. I got one in Cool Ice and one in Warm Caramel so I thought with the white and grey hair issue, I would try the Cool Ice.
I went and read the website about the product to get an in depth look at how the product works and I was then excited! This product works to balance out white hair, grey and brassy colors in your hair. So I took it to the shower and went to work. The shampoo is purple and a bit thin in consistency, like the toners and rinses you see on old ladies. LOL I was nervous again!
So I washed my hair and left it on for 1 minute like the directions say. When I got out and dried my hair, it looked the same for the most part. I did notice a slight reduction in the grey hairs on my temple area and the white hair seemed to blend in a bit more. Maybe I was dreaming or something.
Since then I have used the Cool Ice at least 5 or 6 times and I am loving the blending effects! The brass is about gone and the over all color of my hair is the same so the toner never changed the overall look of my highlights, it has added more depth to them. I love the sides of my hair now even more. The white and grey is blending in so beautifully! I am so thrilled! (I am not sure if you can tell by my pics. It is really hard to get a picture of that without professional shots.)
It is really funny since not even a day before I was looking at my hair wondering what I was going to do with it. I figured it was time to get it colored or something, I am so thrilled to have reviewed this product. Since then, I have used this product numerous times but not every time I shampoo. I love the color of my hair now. The brass is gone and the temples are blending in so much better. I can still see some gray and white, but it is more muted and looks more like highlighting that stark color differences. This stuff ROCKS!
If you have blonde hair that needs help, check out Schwartzkopf Professional line of BLONDME products and find a salon that carries it or a retail establishment and get some. You will be so glad you did.
