It’s funny that as a woman ages and goes through menopause is when you realize that your makeup needs to change. Your skin changes, your patience level changes, and even the fact that we want to highlight just our best features become evident.
I’ve always leaned towards organic products when I can because I try to limit the amount of chemical products in my body and what I put on my skin. With that, sometimes it’s difficult to find a good product that treats your skin well, especially when it comes to makeup.
I have been able to check out the makeup set collection by La Jeanell which offers natural skin care and organic makeup. She has some beautiful products that I’m excited to share with you today.
I was sent the Essential Make Up Limited Edition with Bag Collection. In this are some fantastic products. Here are my thoughts on this collection.

Lip, Cheek, and Eyeshadow Combo and Lip Liner
One of my favorites is the Lip, Cheek, and Eyeshadow combo in the color named Shirley. This is a fantastic color that can work in so many different methods on your skin. I love the product, especially on my lips where I use the lip liner as a base and then apply the Shirley color.
I also used this as an eyeshadow. It is perfect as it is a creme so you can apply as much or as little as you want! It is a perfect color for my skin tone. Love!!
Lume Pod
Another fantastic item is the Lume pod in the shade of Moonlight. This product is in a little tiny jar and it is made to be layered over your blush, lip, eyes, or anywhere you want to use it. It creates luminosity and intensity.
Using it under your brow bone gives you a little bit of dimension, which is especially helpful for someone like me, who wears glasses and hides a lot of her eyes. I also used it on the inside of my eyes and a bit under my lashes! Fabulous!
Dramatic Lashes Mascara
Also included is the Dramatic Lashes Mascara in black. This has a cool bristle that works very well for definition and adds a good dimension to your eyelashes. It’s also waterproof – a nice bonus there. This product is 85% organic and did not make my eyes itch. I have had natural mascara make my eyes itch and water terribly so that’s a great plus.
At first, I thought the wand was too small, but it allows me more flexibility to reach and enhance the tiny lashes under my eyes. Excellent.
Mini Brush
You can use the Mini Brush, which is included in the collection if you want instead of fingertips for product application or any type of makeup brush that you would like. It was perfect for under-eye and interior eye enhancement with the Lumi.
The fact that these products are organic makes me feel better about the product. They use a lot of different types of oils, seed butter, vitamin oil, and natural ingredients to reduce the amount of chemical products that are put into our skin. And another plus is that actual people test the product; they never test on animals.
Overall, I am very pleased with this collection and the La Jeanell makeup products. Even the bag the product comes in is a heavy-duty bag that you can use over and over. It’s a great size and would be perfect to stash all of your makeup in for traveling, or just to keep it all contained.
