Autumn in California: Central Valley Vineyards

Autumn in California: Central Valley Vineyards

I love to go explore different areas of my state when I can. I live in an area that is known for its great fruit and nut growing capabilities.

Few weeks ago my husband and I took a drive up into the hills to a small town called Murphy’s that we’ve never visited before. I fell in love with the town and the eclectic vibe that reminded me very much of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

As we drove around exploring we realize that Ironstone Vineyards is in this town so we took a drive out to the vineyard and was impressed by the gorgeous venue. Not only is it a working winery but it’s also home to wonderful music concerts and perfect for an afternoon outing.

I took the time to wander around a little bit, right before they closed, and captured these beautiful images of the vineyards. Rough and rustic, out in the middle of nowhere, these beautiful vines are thriving and producing fabulous tasting grapes that they turn into wine.

I have other images of the winery that I’ll share with you at another date. It’s definitely a place I’m going back to explore even more.

Do you enjoy exploring in your area?
