I remember back in school when I was probably in the seventh or eighth grade we had to plan a trip for one of our classes. We could pick anywhere we wanted to go. In this report you had to include where we would stay, the type of clothes we would wear, the type of foods we would eat, along with each of the places we would visit.
I chose San Francisco.
Years later I was lucky enough to move to the bay area, close to the city of San Francisco. It is a beautiful city to visit and I do have some favorite sites that I enjoy seeing each time I go.
A San Francisco Tradition: Ghiradelli Chocolate
But I have to say there is one place you absolutely have to see. Since San Francisco is such a culinary capital, this place is it’s own iconic location. That is Ghiradelli.
You probably heard of it because of Ghiradelli Chocolate. But with they are known for in San Francisco is their amazing ice cream. Gigantic sundaes and overflowing bowls of whatever ice cream you want that will make your eyes pop out. Include some of their amazing candy and you have dinner and dessert all in one place!
Located down a bit from Fisherman‘s Wharf, you may have to stand in line for a while, but I think it’s worth it. It is truly a San Francisco tradition for all of us ice cream and chocolate lovers.
