We’ve all had days where nothing seems to go right. Sometimes we have weeks where nothing seems to go right.
The last few weeks have been pretty crazy at my house. I experienced a flood in my master bathroom that went through the master bedroom and into my office. This resulted in complete annihilation of my bathroom including sheet rock being cut out and resulting in carpet being ripped up with giant holes running through the rooms. While I had cleaning my office out someday on my to-do list, that day came sooner than later.
Dealing with having a bed in my living room and the loss of several rooms in my house has a ripple effect in life. It’s difficult for me to work because I am out front along with my husband who tries to sleep while I need to work. There’s always someone in my working space now and that makes it very difficult to be effective and efficient.
The good part is that I will get a new bathroom, new carpet, new walls, and paint etc. for the cost of my deductible. Higher cost, however, is my sanity.
I also lost a lot in my exercise and eating routine. It’s been a tough transition the last few weeks but I think I’m finally back on track. I can’t wait until construction starts on Monday because that means there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
You never really realize how much your routine impacts your life. I can’t wait to get back into my routine in the next few weeks. Now if I can just only hold onto my sanity and keep the craziness at bay we should all be good!
