I have always admired the lean look of a ballet dancers body. They have amazing strength and the workouts build beautiful muscle and offer a wonderful workout too. I was introduced to a set of workout dvd’s for review by an industry expert, Colleen Ketchum, that offers at home workouts for body sculpting and fat burning moves that will give results. Check out:

BeyondBarre Grace is a graceful, ballet focused workout with yoga-inspired movement and stretching using floor exercises and a standing barre
Your exercises sessions are: Warmup, Muscles, Standing Barre, Mid Barre, Low Barre, Floorwork, and the Bonus GlideBoard segment
The dvd starts with a warmup that you can use with soft and gentle exercises to warm you up and get you ready to move into the workout. In the muscle session she uses light weights for some awesome arm and leg workouts that target trouble areas.
The standing barre session starts with with calve workouts, leg movements with pulses and lifts for a muscle building workout. Core and abs along with all your main muscle groups are targeted in this one.
The bonus segment shows some amazing cardio and muscle exercises with her Glideboard. That looks like fun but a killer workout!
BeyondBarre Fit is a fitness based strength class that uses props such as a small ball, resistance bands and weights.
Your exercises sessions are:
Warmup, Weights Floorwork, Standing barre, Floorwork, Bonus Glideboard Workout
This dvd also starts with a nice warmup and moves into some weighted exercises. She uses the floor for a range of different exercises long with the standing barre. Using a ball and resistance bands, you get a full workout in this dvd. Plus she adds a bonus Glideboard workout on this dvd too that offers a cardio and full body workout.
Both of the dvd’s run about 1 hour in length. They are packed full of beautiful stretching and holds that will build muscle. These dvd’s are right for people at any fitness level although if you are a beginner, starting with the Grace dvd will probably be a good choice.
As someone who is working on her fitness, I can do all of these exercises to a degree, although most I cannot hold for any length of time and I can only do a few at a time. But even that makes me feel like I am getting somewhere! This will make you sweat!
