When Helena Hunting writes angst-filled romance, I’m all in.
Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment when it comes to the love-hate and push-pull of those types of novels. But this author knows how to embroil you in the story.
It has been a while since I picked up one of her books, and I am so glad I chose this one. Check out my thoughts and review below.

Him & I by Helena Hunting Review
If you like romance that’s a little dark and edgy, with emotional ups and downs, plus characters you don’t know whether to love or hate, I have a story for you.
I have been reading Hunting’s stories for many years, and my favorite are her angst-filled novels.
She knows how to suck you into the story, then slowly turn the tables: the person you’re supposed to hate is really doing things behind the scenes to protect you and help you advance.
The love-hate push-pull is 100% real in this book. You’re conflicted right along with our main character, Birdie. How can you trust him again?
Him & I is definitely hot and spicy. There are so many highs and lows, tears and smiles. We have the alpha hero and the tortured soulmate. It is definitely trigger-heavy. But I loved it all.
