101 Things to Do With Pasta by Donna Kelly Review
When my son was little and before I got on my health journey, we did eat quite a bit of pasta. I make a mean lasagna. I also love baked rigatoni and mostaccioli. Even buttered noodles with garlic and parsley every once in a while are amazing.
But now that I’m on my health journey, pasta doesn’t often come into my repertoire. Thankfully, some manufacturers have been doing some great things with chickpeas, so we have a high-protein pasta available. I remember this is not low-carb. It’s just not using wheat products, which I can get behind.
Why am I sharing this with you, you ask? Well, I was able to check out a pasta recipe book called 101 Things to do With Pasta by Donna Kelly.
This recipe book has obviously 100 recipes, but they’re unique, and most of them sound really good. Something that you can easily make without a whole lot of drama.
The author has the book broken down into categories with sections, such as:
- Brunching and Lunching
- Salads
- Weeknight Pastabilities
- Companies Coming
- Veggie Delights
- Baked Pasta – my favorite area
- Around the World
What I like about this cookbook is that it is written straightforwardly. Not a whole lot of fluff. You get the recipe and easy directions, which is perfect for that family meal or the “what the heck am I gonna cook tonight” meal.
I mean, how could anybody pass up something called Spinach and Artichoke Orzo or Bowties, Basil, and Brie? Sign me up!
So, if you need a little inspiration, check out this cookbook. The author has lots of tips in there, and I know you’re gonna find at least 5 to 10 favorites that will become staples in your household meals.
