Why Water Workouts Work for Me
I do hate to sweat. Or let’s say that I choose to sweat at specific times. Like when I know I can get a shower right after. I hate to feel grungy!
But the main reason I choose the water for my workouts is that I can get in so much more work than I can in a gym or just walking around the block.
Here are some of the workouts I do:
- Running
- Jumping Jacks
- Squats – 3 different kinds! Regular, Sumo, Pilè
- Back Kicks
- Leg Kicks
- High Knees
- Arm Work
- Treading Water
- Side Laterals
- Mountain Climbers
- Push Ups
- Dancing
- Leg Lifts
- V-Ups
Anything else I can come up with!
I usually hit the pool in the late afternoon and work out for at least an hour. 30 Min is running and the rest is movements. I love it and I love the energy I get from it. the health benefits are amazing too!
Do you want to get your muscles moving again but protect them too? Look for a pool you can use. Check with community colleges for free swim times. Check gyms, therapy centers, YMCA’s, and senior centers. They are out there!
