As we all know, your face is a delicate child that needs to be babied sometimes. Out in harsh elements, it’s no wonder that it gets dried out and wrinkled. Since I was in the beauty business for many years, I get asked a lot about exfoliating… Is it OK to do? How often can I do it? So here are a few tips for taking care of your face.
One good thing to know is that it is okay to exfoliate. In fact it is good for your skin to remove the dead layer of skin that hangs out on top. Your makeup will go on nice and smooth and your skin will breathe easier.
1) Never use a harsh exfoliant or scrub on your face. Use one that is made for the face. The salts and sugars that don’t say for the face are more than likely for your body.
2) Exfoliate no more than two times a week. Over use will make your skin even more dry and flaky as your body tries to compensate.
3) Rinse with warm water, pat your face dry and apply a nice moisturizer after exfoliation.
There you go. Nice and easy and your face will love you for it!
Enjoy!
