This book is packed full of tips about how you can make an impact not only on your environment in your home but also the environment around you.
Our life is full of chemicals so anywhere that I can turn remove them is a plus for me. And starting in our home is a smart choice.
The beginning the author offers some DIY recipes to help us make simple cleaners that we can use in our home. She offers cleaner recipes such as All Purpose Cleaner‘s, Floor Cleaners, and so many more.
She also shares general tips for doing our household chores. The one I’ve used for years and years is to use salt to scour my cast-iron pans. Those of you that love to cook in cast-iron know that you don’t need to use soap and water as that will remove all that lovely coating that makes them almost stick free. Simply using Salt to clean them is best tip to keep them sparkling clean. Plus salt makes a great cleaner for counters.

Green Homekeeping by Alice Alvarez will help you save money and help you make an impact on the planet.

Beginners Guide to Essential Oil‘s by Haley Hobson
Recipes and Practices for a Natural Lifestyle and Holistic Health
This book interested me because I know what essential oil‘s can do but I really didn’t understand what they were or how to use them. I know firsthand that essential oil’s are wonderful for pain relief and cleaning. Plus some people understand how to use them for mood enhancement and such. So I was curious to learn more.
This book walks us through understanding how essential oils can help us with our life balance, helping us with stress and anxiety and how to use essential oil‘s for health and wellness.
Hobson also goes into cooking and baking with essential oil‘s and green cleaning using oil‘s which I have done myself. One of my favorite carpet refreshers is made with essential oil‘s and baking soda – so simple and smells so amazing and fresh.
The author also includes a load of recipes with beautiful pictures and even the notes section to help you get started on your essential oil journey. A great gift idea for someone who wants to start a natural and holistic lifestyle.
